Public Health reports two deaths and 464 new cases of Covid-19

The lethality due to Covid-19 stands at 1.09 percent.

SANTO DOMINGO – The Ministry of Public Health reported two deaths on Monday. One of them registered in the last 24 hours and 464 new cases of Covid-19.

According to bulletin number 585, issued by the National Directorate of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health, the total number of deaths is 4,110, while the accumulated cases amount to 376,736.

According to the report, 5,742 cases remain active, while 366,884 have recovered from the virus, and laboratory tests have ruled out 1,805,864.

In the last 24 hours, 6,101 tests have been performed, of which 5,267 are PCR and 834 antigenic for a total of 2,182,600 samples processed.

Daily positivity stands at 11.03%, and in the last four weeks at 111.24%.

The case fatality rate is 1.09%, and mortality per million population is 393.36.

The Hospital Network has 2,604 COVID beds, of which 680 are occupied, representing 26 percent, while the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds are 609 available, of which 241 are occupied, representing 40 percent.

Meanwhile, out of 519 ventilators in the system, 159 are connected, representing 31 percent.
