COE raises 24 provinces on alert due to trough incidence


The Emergency Operations Center (COE) increased alert levels due to the continuing humidity and instability over the country, due to the incidence of a trough, in addition to the approach of a tropical wave that is located over Puerto Rico, which will generate downpours. The agency reported that the alert provinces rose to 24, 6 are on yellow alert, and 18 on green alert. The provinces on yellow alert  are Greater Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, San José de Ocoa, Barahona, Peravia and La Altagracia. While in  green  are San Pedro de Macorís, Santiago, Hato Mayor, La Vega, Monte Plata, Monseñor Nouel, Azua, San Juan, Samaná, Duarte, Sánchez Ramírez, El Seibo, Pedernales, La Romana, Hermanas Mirabal, Espaillat, Maria Trinidad Sánchez, Puerto Plata.
